Man Arrested for Sexual Abuse Following Prior Murder Conviction
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Authorities have arrested 41-year-old Christopher Davis Harrison in connection with a sexual abuse investigation stemming from an incident on May 6, 2024. Harrison faces charges of second-degree sodomy and sexual abuse, raising concerns given his history involving violent crime.
Court documents reveal that Harrison previously pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the 2002 shooting death of Timothy Cannon during a drug deal. After gunning down Cannon, Harrison infamously took marijuana from the victim’s pocket, remarking, “We’re smoking a dead man’s weed.” Following a 25-year sentence, he was released on parole just months ago, on April 11.
The recent allegations involve an incident where Harrison met a woman while walking dogs. After an exchange of contact information, he arrived at her home uninvited. According to the probable cause statement, Harrison’s behavior escalated quickly; he initiated intimate conversations and kissed her against her will. Despite her repeated objections, he allegedly went on to inappropriately touch her and forced her to touch him in a sexual manner.
Harrison is currently held at the Greene County Jail without bond as the investigation continues. This case has reignited discussions around the risks of parole for individuals with violent pasts. Local authorities and residents express deep concern regarding safety, particularly in light of Harrison’s recent history of violent behavior. The community awaits further developments as the judicial process proceeds.
