Police Investigate Fatal Shooting on Kansas City Sidewalk
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Authorities are investigating a shooting incident that left a man dead early Saturday morning. The Kansas City Police Department responded to reports of gunfire around 2 a.m. near East 42nd Street and College Avenue, discovering an unresponsive victim on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound.
Despite efforts by KCPD officers to perform life-saving measures, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Initial investigations suggest that the victim had interacted with one or more suspects outside a home, which escalated into a shooting.
