Dozens of Cars Burn in Early Morning Fire at Kansas City Auto Auction

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Fire Department (KCFD) is currently investigating a significant fire that engulfed approximately 25 vehicles at the Manheim Auto Auction early Tuesday morning.

Fire crews received the alarm shortly after midnight for a blaze located on Skiles Road, near NE Parvin Road. Upon arrival, firefighters found multiple cars ablaze in a rear lot of the facility. Given the location’s distance from the nearest street and the challenges of hydrant access, KCFD dispatched multiple fire trucks to manage the situation effectively.

The firefighters worked tirelessly, and their efforts paid off as the flames were brought under control by 2 a.m. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries stemming from the incident.

KCFD is actively investigating the cause of the fire, which remains undetermined at this time. The incident highlights the ongoing challenges faced by emergency responders in dealing with large-scale vehicle fires, especially in difficult-to-access areas. Further updates from the investigation are anticipated as officials work to uncover the circumstances surrounding this event.

For continuing updates, please follow local news channels and the KCFD’s announcements.
