An 18-year-old in Olathe, Kansas has been charged with aggravated assault after being accused of pulling a gun on a group of teenagers at a park. Selena Tucker, 13, described the incident where the man, identified as Hunter Tolman, initially scolded them before showing a weapon that looked like a gun. The teenagers were scared and ran away to a friend’s house, where they called the police. Tolman was later found to have a BB gun, but the teenagers felt the situation was unnecessary and could have been handled differently. The mother of one of the teenagers, Shabree Scales, expressed her concerns about the incident and emphasized that the children were not a threat. Tolman is scheduled to appear in court on April 29 after being released on bond. The teenagers involved are shaken up but physically unharmed. Selena Tucker admitted feeling nervous walking past Tolman’s place after the incident.
