Updates to Kansas football’s Anderson Family Football Complex revealed by KU this year

The University of Kansas has recently revealed the latest set of improvements to its Anderson Family Football Complex as part of ongoing renovations to the football stadium and facilities. The complex now features a new walkthrough space, team room, weight room, locker room, training area, player lounge, recovery space, and more, making it one of the more high-end facilities in college football. Head coach Lance Leipold expressed his gratitude for the support that has made these renovations possible, emphasizing the impact they will have on the student-athletes’ training, recovery, and overall experience.

The newly-installed walkthrough area includes a video board for in-game scenario preparation, while the team room overlooks the renovated David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium. The upcoming additions to the complex will include a new dining area, stadium entrance, and more, totaling over 33,000 square feet of new construction and 40,000 square feet of renovated space.

Kansas football finished 5-7 overall and 4-5 in the Big 12 Conference in 2024, following Leipold’s arrival in 2021, which led to back-to-back bowl game appearances in 2022 and 2023. In 2023, the Jayhawks secured their first bowl victory in over a decade. The continuous updates to the Anderson Family Football Complex demonstrate the university’s commitment to providing top-notch facilities for its student-athletes.
