The University of Kansas has announced its athletes of the week for the week of April 7-13. Alex Breckheimer from the men’s baseball team and Ebba Cronholm from the women’s track and field team have been selected for their outstanding performances.
Breckheimer, a relief pitcher, had an impressive week with four scoreless innings and earned saves in two games against Kansas State. His performance helped the team go 4-0 against in-state rivals and brought his season ERA down to 3.08. Cronholm, who also plays soccer, competed in the 1,500-meter run for the first time as a collegiate athlete and finished in first place at the Kansas Relays with a time of 4:24.25.
These athletes have shown exceptional skill and determination in their respective sports, earning them the title of athletes of the week.
