An active shooter was reported at Florida State University on Thursday, with the reported shooter located in the area of the Student Union. University police responded to the scene as of 12:20 p.m. ET and those in the area were advised to continue sheltering in place. People on the campus and in the immediate area were instructed to lock and stay away from windows and doors. Four individuals from the campus were being treated at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. This is an ongoing situation and updates will be provided as they become available. Students, faculty, and staff are urged to stay safe and follow the instructions of law enforcement personnel.
