Flory Bidunga is set to return to Kansas after agreeing to a new deal

Kansas freshman Flory Bidunga has made the decision to withdraw from the transfer portal and return to Kansas next season, according to a report from ESPN’s Pete Thamel. Bidunga had initially entered the transfer portal on March 29 and received significant interest from other schools, including a scheduled visit to Indiana. However, after a visit from Kansas head coach Bill Self, Bidunga and Kansas have reached a deal for him to stay in Lawrence for his sophomore season.

Bidunga, who appeared in all 34 games for Kansas this past season, quickly became a fan favorite in Lawrence. His return is seen as a key victory for Kansas this offseason, with top recruit Darryn Peterson expressing excitement about playing alongside the talented big man. Kansas’ roster count currently stands at nine players, with Bidunga joining Elmarko Jackson, Jamari McDowell, Noah Shelby, Darryn Peterson, Bryson Tiller, Samis Calderon, Jayden Dawson, and Tre White.

The decision to retain Bidunga is a significant boost for Kansas as they prepare for the upcoming season. With his return, the Jayhawks solidify their frontcourt and add depth to their roster. Fans are undoubtedly excited to see what Bidunga and the rest of the team can accomplish next season as they look to make a run in the competitive world of college basketball.
