NiJaree Canady, the 2024 Kansas Woman of the Year, showcased her talent on Friday night with a stellar performance in leading the No. 13/14 Red Raiders to a 9-0 victory over Kansas. Canady threw a no-hitter with 12 strikeouts, proving why she deserved the prestigious title. The crowd of 1,249 fans witnessed her dominance on the field, with many fans remembering her roots just outside of Lawrence in Topeka.
