NCBWA Top 25 Poll: Kansas Ranked 22nd

Kansas baseball is making headlines with its recent ranking at No. 22 in the NCBWA poll, marking the team’s first ranking since 2014. The Jayhawks have started the season strong with a 17-3 overall record, their best in program history. Winning their first five weekend series for the first time since 2003, Kansas also recently took two out of three games against Baylor in their opening Big 12 series. The team leads the Big 12 and ranks third in the nation with 46 home runs this season, with Jackson Hauge being named Big 12 Player of the Week for his impressive performance. Kansas is set to play four games in Arizona this week, including a non-conference game against Arizona and a three-game conference series against Arizona State. With their strong start to the season and impressive hitting power, the Jayhawks are proving themselves as a force to be reckoned with in college baseball.
