A shooting involving a Kansas City police officer in the Northland area of Kansas City, Missouri is being investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP). The incident occurred just before 9 p.m. on Thursday in the area of NW 70th Terrace and N. Robinhood Lane. The 57-year-old male suspect involved in the incident has been confirmed dead. One officer sustained minor injuries during the incident. The shooting occurred after officers responded to a domestic assault call at the location earlier in the evening. Following interviews with the victim, officers returned to the scene to arrest the suspect. The suspect, armed with a knife, advanced towards the officers, leading to one of them firing their weapon and striking the suspect.
