Two suspects are in the hospital after a road rage incident in Prairie Village on Tuesday night. The Prairie Village police responded to a call about shots being fired at 75th and State Line Road just before 8:30 p.m. The driver involved in the incident reported that two suspects on a motorcycle pulled up and opened their driver’s side door. The driver managed to drive away unharmed after shutting the door.
Initially thought to be an attempted carjacking, the Prairie Village police now believe the incident was purely a case of road rage. One of the suspects fired multiple shots at the driver, but thankfully no one was injured. The suspects fled into Kansas City, Missouri and were later arrested by KCPD officers after crashing. Both suspects are now hospitalized and will be in custody facing charges.
The investigation is ongoing as Prairie Village police work to gather more information about the road rage incident.
