Free Adoptions Offered by KC Pet Project or Tough Decisions Ahead

The KC Pet Project in Kansas City, Missouri is in desperate need of adopters as they are facing an overcrowding crisis with 295 dogs filling every kennel and overflow spaces. With nearly 80 dogs arriving in the past three days, the organization is running out of space for incoming animals and may have to make heartbreaking decisions if adoptions or foster families do not step in. In response, the KC Pet Project is waiving all adoption fees from Wednesday to Sunday, March 2, including specialty breeds, large and small dogs, and puppies. The shelter is also looking for short-term or long-term fosters to help alleviate the crisis, as even a few days of fostering can save lives. To see the adoptable dogs, visit the KC Campus for Animal Care or view them online. The organization is urging the community to come forward and help provide loving homes for these animals in need.
