The Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO) is hosting a webinar on February 27 to launch the ‘Introduction course to Assistive Technology in the Americas’. The webinar, conducted in English, aims to provide insight into the regional context of assistive technology, discussing challenges and opportunities to improve access.
The event will emphasize the importance of assistive technologies for users and their role in rehabilitation. Speakers will include PAHO/WHO Directors and Unit Chiefs, as well as a Regional Advisor and representatives from the Ministry of Health in Aruba. Practical insights will be shared through experiences from a Caribbean country.
The webinar will outline the course objectives, target audience, program, and learning platform. It will also provide information on time correspondence for Washington DC, Nassau, Ottawa, Port-au-Prince, Bridgetown, Castries, Georgetown, Port of Spain, and Oranjestad.
