Two 15-year-old high school sophomores in El Paso, Omid Alihemati and Omar Escobedo, are making a name for themselves in the fashion world with their brand, Streetwornclothing. Founded in May 2024, the brand has quickly gained recognition with its affordable streetwear collections. The team, including their friend Aaron Haper, released their first collection in September, followed by a successful “ONTOUR” drop in December.
Alihemati’s frustration with high clothing prices at major retailers inspired him to create stylish pieces at a lower cost. Through hard work and determination, including fundraising efforts like cutting lawns and washing cars, Alihemati was able to turn his dream into a reality. With each collection, Streetwornclothing continues to grow, showcasing the power of passion and hard work in achieving success.
The success of Streetwornclothing has also inspired other young entrepreneurs in El Paso. Project Uno, founded by high school seniors Christian Lopez and Joel Allen, was influenced by Streetwornclothing’s journey. The brand incorporates faith into fashion, with every order including a scripture from the Bible to spread positivity and inspiration through their designs.
Both Streetwornclothing and Project Uno are proving that young entrepreneurs in El Paso are leaving their mark on the fashion industry, one piece of clothing at a time. For those interested in being featured in future Sunday Funday moments, they can contact Iris.Garcia-Barron@KVIA.com.
