The Kansas women’s golf team is tied for fifth place at the PDI Intercollegiate at Eagle Creek Course in Orlando, with senior Lauren Clark leading the pack at 12-under par. Despite a rough start, the Jayhawks made a comeback in the second round with impressive performances from Clark, Lyla Louderbaugh, Johanna Ebner, and Amy DeKock. Baylor currently leads the field, followed by North Carolina, Duke, Mississippi State, UCF, and Kansas. Clark, who finished the second round with a career low score of 67 (-5), continued her bogey-free streak, while Louderbaugh, Ebner, and DeKock also put up solid scores. Freshman Ebba Nordstedt shined with a score of 69 (-3) and six birdies. Due to forecasted fog, the tournament’s final round started early, with the Jayhawks playing their first six holes on Monday afternoon.
