PTX Trimble will be showcasing their latest innovation, the OutRun autonomy system, at the 2025 Iowa Ag Expo. This technology allows one operator to manage multiple in-field grain cart tasks autonomously during harvest season, simplifying operations and increasing efficiency.
Dinen Subramaniam, product marketing manager for PTX Trimble, highlighted the system’s capabilities, including the ability to stage, call for a pickup, or send grain to a truck unload zone with minimal operator input. OutRun is not limited to grain cart operations; it can also be utilized for fall and spring tillage, making it a versatile investment for farmers.
After successful testing in Nebraska and Iowa last fall, Subramaniam announced that PTX Trimble has made improvements based on feedback and is preparing for a full commercial launch in 2025. The company plans to expand the system’s capabilities to include spreading, seeding, and more in the future.
Farmers interested in learning more about the OutRun autonomy system can visit outrun.ag or meet with the OutRun team at the 2025 Iowa Ag Expo, scheduled for February 4-6 in Des Moines. This cutting-edge technology is set to revolutionize automation in the agriculture industry, providing farmers with innovative solutions to streamline their operations and increase productivity.
