Beyoncé announced a new tour called the “Cowboy Carter Tour 2025” through a social media post and an update on her website, with no specific tour dates shared yet. This announcement follows the postponement of a previous announcement due to the California wildfires, with Beyoncé’s charity BeyGOOD donating $2.5 million to support families in Altadena and Pasadena. Beyoncé first performed songs from her album “Cowboy Carter” during the halftime show of a Houston Texans-Baltimore Ravens game on Christmas Day, which was streamed on Netflix. The performance became available as a standalone special on the streaming platform, with Netflix referencing the song “SWEET ★ HONEY ★ BUCKIIN’” and teasing the upcoming tour. Beyoncé’s label, Parkwood Entertainment, responded to this post by Netflix, indicating that the tour is happening. “Cowboy Carter” earned 11 Grammy nominations, including album of the year, at the 67th Grammy Awards. The lead single “Texas Hold ’Em” has achieved double platinum status and the album itself topped both the Billboard Hot 200 album chart and Top Country Albums chart, making Beyoncé the first Black woman to lead the country album list. The announcement of the tour comes on the day of the Grammy Awards, coinciding with the beginning of Black History Month, similar to the timing of her previous tour announcement.
