The Baylor Bears claimed a stunning 81-70 victory over the No. 11 Kansas Jayhawks, but suffered a setback as key player VJ Edgecombe sustained an ankle injury. Led by Robert Wright III and Norchad Omier, who combined for 42 points, the Bears outscored Kansas 60-30 in the second half to secure the upset win. Baylor’s strong performance in the game improved their season record to 14-7, with six conference wins out of 10 games. Omier leads the team with a double-double average of 15.4 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. Wright III, Jeremy Roach, and Jayden Nunn also contribute significantly to the team’s success. Looking ahead, Baylor will face the No. 22 Texas Tech Red Raiders on Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET. Despite Edgecombe’s injury, the Bears remain a formidable force in college basketball, showcasing their ability to rally and secure important victories.
