Highly-touted freshman forward Bryson Tiller has made a smooth transition to the Kansas Jayhawks men’s basketball team, despite the challenging winter weather in Lawrence. Tiller, who arrived in January and is dealing with a long-term ankle injury, is set to redshirt for the remainder of the season but has been impressing coach Bill Self in individual drills. Self believes Tiller is underrated and has the potential to make a major impact on the team next fall.
Standing at 6-9 and 240 pounds, Tiller is known for his shooting ability and versatility on the court. He aims to model his play after NBA stars like Paolo Banchero and Giannis Antetokounmpo, utilizing his size and skills effectively. Tiller’s early enrollment has allowed him to adjust to the team dynamics, learn the plays and coaching style, and enhance his game.
Despite not being able to participate fully in practices yet, Tiller is already contributing to the team in various ways and gaining valuable experience from his teammates. His presence in practice will provide a challenge for his fellow Jayhawks and improve their overall performance.
