Kansas Chamber prioritizes lower taxes in its 2025 Legislative and Policy Agenda

The Kansas Chamber has outlined its priorities for the 2025 legislative session, focusing on lowering personal and corporate taxes and making the state more business-friendly. Chamber President Alan Cobb emphasized the need for Kansas to become more competitive in attracting investment, especially as other states have lowered their income tax rates in recent years.

The Chamber’s 2025 agenda includes reducing the tax burden, adopting single-factor apportionment for corporate income taxpayers, legal reform, healthcare reform, and improving energy costs. These priorities aim to address challenges and opportunities facing the state’s business community and boost economic growth.

Cobb highlighted the importance of eliminating barriers to healthcare access and employment, as well as addressing high energy costs that impact businesses and manufacturers in the state. Input for the agenda was gathered from Chamber-member task groups, in-person meetings, and research reports.
