Atlanta Falcons superfan known as the “Birdlady” Carolyn Freeman has been accused of scamming Kansas City Chiefs fans out of $14,000 for a tailgate party that never materialized. Chiefs fans had paid Freeman for the event when their team played in Atlanta in September, only to arrive on game day and find nothing set up.
Freeman, who also goes by the name of “Birdlady,” allegedly made excuses and even claimed she was in the hospital when she was actually at the game. She has a warrant for her arrest on a felony fraud charge and was arrested at the stadium during a game in full costume earlier this month.
Members of the Arrowhead South Chapter in Atlanta say that Freeman has a history of scamming other fan groups, including Falcons fans traveling to the Super Bowl. Chiefs fans are demanding justice and hope to see Freeman go to trial for her alleged fraudulent activities.
Despite Freeman’s indictment and absence from a recent court hearing, the Chiefs fans are determined to see her face consequences for her actions. They plan to be present at any future court proceedings to ensure that Freeman is held accountable for her actions. The fans are determined not to let Freeman get away with defrauding them and are seeking justice for their lost money.
