Jennifer Lopez finalizes divorce from Ben Affleck almost 5 months after initial filing

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have officially settled their divorce, with Lopez filing for dissolution of their marriage on August 20, 2024. She will be keeping her green diamond engagement ring that Affleck had gifted her in 2021 when they rekindled their romance. Affleck has waived all rights to her clothing, jewelry, and personal effects. They got married in Las Vegas on July 16, 2022, and separated nearly two years later on April 16, 2024, citing irreconcilable differences. They have no children together, but Lopez has twins with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, and Affleck has three kids with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. Lopez has expressed excitement about being single again, stating that last summer was a lesson in learning she had to be good on her own. She is not looking for anybody and wants to prove to herself that she can be independent. Lopez has spoken about the significance of the green ring, calling it lucky and a symbol of true love. She feels fortunate for the second chance at love. Lopez and Affleck have not commented on the divorce settlement.
