Two women were killed and a man badly injured in an overnight crash in Kansas City, Missouri. The Kansas City Police Department is investigating the incident, which occurred when a Honda SUV, travelling west on Interstate 435, went off a bridge near 103rd Street. The driver was going too fast for the weather conditions, causing the vehicle to vault off the bridge, fall 100 feet, and land in the Blue River. The crash happened at 3:30 a.m. on Friday, resulting in the deaths of the driver and a backseat passenger, as well as critical injuries to a front seat passenger who was taken to the hospital. Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins emphasized the importance of driving slowly in icy conditions to prevent accidents like this. The police confirmed that the deceased driver and passenger were both women, while the injured passenger is an adult male. The investigation into the crash is ongoing. Residents are advised to be cautious and drive carefully to avoid similar incidents.
