Two individuals have been charged in connection with the disappearance and death of Kansas City woman Abbi Schaeffer. The woman had been missing since November 27, 2020, and her body was found in a wooded area in Bates County, Missouri. The suspects, identified as Tyler Hudson and Heather Jones, are facing charges of second-degree murder, kidnapping, and abandonment of a corpse.
According to authorities, Schaeffer was last seen leaving her home on November 26, 2020. Her disappearance sparked a widespread search effort, and her body was eventually discovered on December 4, 2020. The investigation into her death revealed that Hudson and Jones were allegedly involved in her murder.
Both suspects are currently in custody, with Hudson being held on a $500,000 bond and Jones on a $150,000 bond. The motive behind Schaeffer’s death has not been publicly disclosed, but authorities have stated that the investigation is ongoing.
