SWA Lithium, in collaboration with Koch Technology Solutions, has successfully designed, built, commissioned, and operated a pilot Direct Lithium Extraction plant at the South West Arkansas Project. The pilot plant is processing brine from SWA to confirm engineering design parameters and provide battery-quality lithium carbonate samples. This milestone marks a crucial step in the development of a commercial lithium facility in Arkansas. The success of the pilot plant is attributed to the support and collaboration with Mission Creek Resources LLC.
Samples produced from the pilot plant will be sent to potential off-take partners for qualification, aiding in the selection of preferred equipment vendors for the commercial facility. The pilot plant uses the same technology as the commercial plant and is expected to produce a significant amount of lithium chloride solution for further processing.
In addition, SWA Lithium has granted stock options, restricted share units, and deferred share units to management and directors to align compensation with shareholder interests. The Company’s focus on sustainable lithium production through Direct Lithium Extraction sets it apart in the industry.
