These projects will benefit communities such as Twin Valley Electric Cooperative, Miami County, City of Dexter, City of Osawatomie, City of Fowler, City of Belle Plaine, Wabaunsee County Rural Water District No. 1, and City of Solomon. The investment includes $4.875 million for electric upgrades and $74.204 million for water system improvements, aimed at ensuring sustainable infrastructure and improving the quality of life for rural Kansans.

This nationwide effort is part of the USDA’s initiative to boost local economies and support rural communities. The projects will address critical infrastructure needs and contribute to the long-term development and growth of these areas.
