Before going to the polls, Missouri and Kansas voters should be aware of the following:


The upcoming General Election on Nov. 5 will see millions of voters in Missouri and Kansas cast their ballots on various candidates and issues. Early voting is available in both states. In Missouri, voters can cast no-excuse absentee ballots at local election offices until Nov. 4, while advanced voting in Kansas is allowed until the same day. Missouri and Kansas voters need to provide identification to obtain a ballot.

For voting by mail, Missouri residents are required to request an absentee ballot by mailing it in or fax before the second Wednesday prior to the election. Kansas voters can request a mail-in ballot by Oct. 29. Polling locations in both states will be open on election day.

Numerous races are taking place, including the Presidential race with Kamala Harris, Donald Trump, Chase Oliver, and Jill Stein as candidates. In the Missouri Governor race, Mike Kehoe and Crystal Quade are the main candidates. Josh Hawley and Lucas Kunce are running for the U.S. Senate in Missouri. Andrew Bailey, Elad Gross, and Ryan Munro are vying for the position of Attorney General in Missouri.

Several proposed amendments will also be on the ballot, covering issues such as sports betting, abortion rights, and the minimum wage. In Kansas, Democratic incumbent Sharice Davids is running for re-election in the 3rd Congressional District against Republican Prasanth Reddy and Libertarian Steve Roberts. Additionally, races for Johnson County Sheriff are heating up with Doug Bedford and Byron Roberson as main candidates.
