86-Year-Old Man Triggered SILVER Alert by KCPD and MSHP for Missing Person


KCPD and the Missouri State Highway Patrol have issued a SILVER Alert for Victor Sahagun-Mejia, an 86-year-old man from Kansas City who went missing this morning. He was last seen at his home around 7 a.m. and is believed to be on foot in the area of 27th Street and Topping Avenue. Sahagun-Mejia is described as 5’8″, 150 pounds with black and grey hair, brown eyes, and is wearing a black jacket, dark blue-collared shirt, and black pants. His family has stated that he has dementia and is easily confused.

Anyone with information on Victor Sahagun-Mejia’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact the missing persons unit at 816-234-5043. The family is desperate for answers and is asking for the public’s help in locating their loved one. The KCK mother of Victor Sahagun-Mejia is pleading for help after her son was injured in a hit-and-run while riding his bike. The authorities are urging the community to come forward with any information that may help locate Sahagun-Mejia and ensure his safe return home.
