Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams had a standout performance in the team’s 35-16 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The number one overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Williams set new career highs in completion percentage, touchdowns, and quarterback rating in the game. He threw for 226 yards, rushed for 56 yards, and showcased impressive skills with both his arm and legs. Williams had a slow start to the season but has shown steady progress, throwing for five touchdowns in his last three games before nearly matching that total in the win against the Jaguars. The Bears have won three games in a row and now hold a 4-2 record, staying competitive in their division. Williams will have a bye week before facing off against the Washington Commanders, led by rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels. While Daniels has outperformed Williams so far, the gap has narrowed in recent weeks. The game against Washington will be Williams’s chance for a signature win, as all of the Bears’ victories this season have come against teams with only one win. After the game against the Jaguars, Williams has accumulated 1,317 passing yards, nine touchdowns, and five interceptions in his rookie season.
