Kansas City, Mo. – Texas Tech Football has announced a new 10-year partnership with adidas and former student-athlete Patrick Mahomes that will bring fresh new uniforms to the team. Mahomes, who played quarterback for Texas Tech from 2014 to 2016 before being drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs, unveiled the new grey, white, and red uniforms featuring his logo in a social media post. The full collection of jerseys will be available for purchase on adidas.com starting at 9 am CST on November 9.
The partnership between adidas, Texas Tech, and Mahomes comes as adidas continues to capitalize on Mahomes’ star power. The uniforms will replace the previous Under Armour-branded jerseys worn by the team. Mahomes, who was inducted into the Texas Tech Ring of Honor in 2022, expressed his pride in being able to bring his alma mater into the adidas family.
“I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for Texas Tech, and I’m proud to have helped bring Red Raider Nation into the three-stripe fam,” said Mahomes.
Mahomes’ logo will be prominently featured on the new uniforms, showcasing the close partnership between the former student-athlete and the university. Fans can expect more collaborations between adidas, Mahomes, and Texas Tech in the coming fall, as they work together to elevate the team’s brand and image. Stay tuned for more exciting developments coming soon.
