The Chinese military recently conducted a successful test-fire of an intercontinental ballistic missile into the Pacific Ocean. The People’s Liberation Army Rocket Force launched the ICBM carrying a simulated warhead and it accurately landed in a predetermined area of the high seas. The test was part of the Rocket Force’s annual military training and was said to be in accordance with international law and not directed against any specific country or target.
