The University of Kansas women’s basketball team recently added Tatyonna Brown to their 2025 recruiting class. Brown, a 6-foot-2 forward from Air Academy High School in Colorado, received offers from several schools before choosing to commit to the Jayhawks. She expressed her gratitude to the coaching staff on social media and is excited to join the team.
Brown is the second player in the incoming freshman class, joining Libby Fandel from Iowa. The team is also pursuing highly touted prospects such as Keeley Parks from Oklahoma. Parks recently had an in-home visit from KU staff members and is expected to visit the campus in October. However, KU is facing competition from other schools like Baylor, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State in the recruitment process.
The addition of Brown adds depth and talent to the Jayhawks’ roster, setting the stage for an exciting season ahead. The team is focused on building a strong recruiting class to elevate their program and compete at a high level in the future. Fans and supporters can look forward to seeing Brown and other newcomers make an impact on the court as they represent the University of Kansas in women’s basketball.
