Brittany Furlan, comedian and wife of rocker Tommy Lee, saved her dog Neena from a coyote attack in their Los Angeles home with the help of Neena’s extra weight. The incident was captured on a Ring surveillance camera and shared on Instagram. Furlan was able to rescue her dog by climbing the wall and grabbing her out of the coyote’s mouth. She emphasized the importance of pet safety in Southern California and the need to always watch them, especially in areas where coyotes are present. Coyotes are a common sight in parts of Los Angeles, and people are advised to not leave small pets outside unsupervised and to bring them inside at night to prevent attacks. Coyotes are known to be adaptable and can thrive alongside humans in many communities in California. Furlan and Lee expressed shock at the animal encounter, and Furlan stated that Neena is safe after the incident. The couple’s home is located in Brentwood, a neighborhood near the Santa Monica Mountains where coyote encounters are not uncommon. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife recommends taking precautions to prevent coyote attacks, such as avoiding leaving out trash or pet food that may attract them. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of being vigilant and ensuring the safety of pets in areas where wildlife may pose a threat.
