A tragic crash on Interstate 70 in Blue Springs, Missouri left one teenager dead and two others seriously injured on Saturday night. The incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. near NW Woods Chapel Road, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash involved a Toyota Tacoma being driven by a 17-year-old boy who cut in front of a Lexus driven by 70-year-old Paul McLaughlin. The Lexus collided with the front passenger side of the Toyota, causing it to flip and eject all passengers. Unfortunately, a 15-year-old boy was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene, while the 17-year-old driver and a 19-year-old man also suffered serious injuries.
It was reported that none of the teenagers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. The 19-year-old was identified as Kevin Pacheco, while the other teenagers involved were not named. McLaughlin, who was wearing a seatbelt, did not sustain any injuries in the collision.
