Two people die in head-on collision in Northland on Sunday night


A tragic head-on crash in Kansas City, Missouri has left two people dead and several others injured. The incident occurred on Sunday night near Northeast 42nd Street and Parvin Road when a speeding Mitsubishi Outlander crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a Ford Transit van. The driver of the Mitsubishi was pronounced dead at the scene, and two child passengers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Ford also succumbed to their injuries, while the adult passenger and child passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The Kansas City Police Department is currently investigating the crash, and the reason behind the Mitsubishi veering into the opposite lanes of traffic remains unknown. This unfortunate event adds to the surge of traffic crashes that have been reported in the KC Metro area over the Labor Day weekend.
