Palestinian passes away one hour after being arrested by Israel in the occupied West Bank | Updates on the Israel-Palestine conflict

Israeli forces have handed over the body of a 58-year-old Palestinian man, Ayman Rajeh Abed, to the Palestine Red Crescent Society after he was arrested in the occupied West Bank. The man, who belonged to Kafr Dan village, showed signs of beatings and torture when his body was delivered to the Jenin Government Hospital.

The Israeli military stated that Abed was detained during counterterrorism operations and suffered a cardiac event upon arrival at a detention facility. They provided initial treatment before transferring him to the hospital in Jenin, where he was pronounced dead. The details of the incident are currently under review by the military.

This incident took place amidst intensified Israeli attacks in Jenin and the surrounding areas, where hundreds of troops have been conducting operations in response to alleged plans by Iranian-backed fighter groups to target civilian areas. The operation has caused significant damage to houses and infrastructure in the region.

Palestinians in Jenin have described the situation as collective punishment, with many believing that Israel is retaliating against those who support armed fighters in the region. The ongoing conflict has already resulted in the deaths of at least 29 Palestinians and the injury of 121 others, according to Palestinian health authorities. The tensions continue to escalate as more violence and casualties are reported in the area.
