Democratic governors who recently met with President Joe Biden expressed their support for him, emphasizing the need for unity and a path to victory in the upcoming November election. Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota stated that the threat of a Trump presidency is a real concern and that Biden has had the backs of governors through challenging times. Other governors, such as Wes Moore of Maryland and Kathy Hochul of New York, echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the importance of supporting Biden for the future of the country.

Governor Gavin Newsom of California also reiterated his support for Biden, highlighting their mutual commitment to each other’s success. Governor Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan, another prominent Democratic figure, also threw her backing behind Biden, emphasizing that he is in the race to win it.

Amidst concerns about Biden’s age and ability to win the election, Democratic representative Seth Moulton from Massachusetts called for all viable options to be considered, while former White House adviser Anthony Fauci expressed confidence in Biden’s vigor and mental capabilities.

As Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris meet with Democratic governors, including some virtually, calls from Democratic megadonors like Reed Hastings for Biden to step down have surfaced. However, Biden and the White House have firmly denied reports of any plans to withdraw from the race.
