61-year-old Christopher D. Moore from Kansas City tragically drowned in Table Rock Lake on Tuesday afternoon in Cow Creek Cove, situated about four miles south of Kimberling City. The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported that Moore had been clinging to the side of a pontoon boat when he let go, causing the boat to drift away and out of his grasp. As a result, Moore began to struggle and ultimately went underwater. Moore’s wife eventually pulled him from the water and attempted lifesaving measures, but unfortunately, he succumbed to the incident. The drowning occurred at approximately 4:42 p.m. on July 2nd.
This unfortunate event serves as a reminder of the importance of water safety and being vigilant while enjoying recreational activities on water bodies. The MSHP is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Moore’s death to determine the exact cause of the incident. The loss of Christopher D.
