Man fatally shot at Northland apartment in Kansas City


A man was shot and killed in a Northland apartment in Kansas City early Wednesday morning after an interaction with another man. The Kansas City Police Department responded to the shooting call at N. Hickory Street and NW 80th Terrace where they found the victim unresponsive. Despite attempts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the hospital. The suspect was located nearby and taken in for questioning, with no other suspects being sought at this time.

Homicide detectives are working with the Clay County Prosecutor’s Office to determine if the suspect will face any charges. Residents in the area are assured that there is no ongoing threat.
